Encounters With Netzach
We cross into the lower triangle of the Tree this week with Netzach — the drive that carries us forward, the part of us that reaches toward what endures. Maryrita brings down a dialogue that I think will stay with you. As always, if this series is resonating, please chip in to our spring campaign.
— David
Once upon a time, I, Miriam Rut HaZoheret, fell in love with trees. Now I am blessed with three Wise trees:
deep red-purple interweaving-green Japanese Maple, named Hope
Crepe Myrtle sporting her spring crew-cut, awaiting summer flowering, Aliveness
deep-rooted, sage Elder tree, Goddess Asherah.
First Encounter
Waking to bright sunshine,
Trees circling --
A flash of intuition:
Netzach
inviting conversation,
panim al panim
face to face,Pulsing, understanding
In dialogue.
Netzach: We are walking a journey together. My attributes emanating: endurance, resilience, fortitude, everlasting eternity, and the power of Presence.
HaZoheret:
Let me step into
embodying
your expansive energy
Eternally now.—Breathing, pausing—
Netzach:
HaZoheret, as Hope, I embodied enduring resilience when a large stag gored me, later sealed by healer’s salve. I birthed Divine patience, pulsing and activating my endurance and resilience. My branches, sprouting green leaves by the next spring, flourished beside my deep red-purple ones.
Netzach:
In Aliveness’ pruning, I felt my resilience, enduring sap flowing, allowing tiny buds into branches sprouting. Sun’s light bursts through guiding clouds of Glory. I know persevering power, motivating my purpose, crowning everlasting Presence.
Netzach:
I am Asherah’s enduring energy, her resilience reflected through my cracked stumpy limb, windstorm-bent and broken, needing caring and pruning. I breathe in, everlasting resilience. Asherah, towering toward the sky, knows a wise wild warrior woman’s energy, now gracing you.
Second Encounter: Partnering
HaZoheret:
My mystical Tree of Life, bridging –
relational, interdependent –
Tell me how you do!
Netzach:
I am dancing,
partnering with Hod,
calmly energizing,
swaying slow dance within
rocking Swing.HaZoheret:
I am feeling stillness on my left,
fast-moving swing
on my right,
energies flowing.
I am pausing
between swirling,
resting
in Still Presence.Netzach: Imagine walking in snowfall’s silent stillness. Imagine breathing my cosmic whooshing. That’s Netzach-Hod relating, interdependent Presence.
HaZoheret: I am longing, being wise, wild, warrior woman, like Wonder Woman, yet feeling tight, not loosening. Last year, I felt called to a deep dive into Hod. Now curious how energies interweave, containing wild enduring energy within relational bonding?
Netzach: My sefirah opposite, humbly pulling back, makes room for me. She partners me, showing me the way to relating and supporting, infusing interweaving energy. She shows me, dancing thanks for those who always have my back. Imagine dancing energies, holding out a hand -- pausing, I am slowly settling into a balanced gliding tango. Panim el panim, Feel my emanating Everlasting Love Facing me, feel this in your body, feel this In your Soul.
Third Encounter: Relationships
Netzach:
How do you discern
how much ‘yes’ or
‘no’ is enough?HaZoheret: I will seek your nudging persistence, energizing my guts. I will feel my audacity freeing – a deep committed knowing —what’s my unique essence— A unique HaZoheret prism, spinning Shechinah light, gifting. Bursting enduring resilience is my audacity blossoming.
Netzach:
(smiling curiously)
Wondering, what is unique to you, any one aspect of my energy?
HaZoheret:
Oh Yes! everlasting eternity, such a “now” moment.
Reb Nadya’s Savta taught, “each moment is eternity,
moment, by moment, by moment.”
Each moment, containing all that went before
and all the potential still to become possible.
Netzach:
In this moment, feel yourself being audacious, knowing your essence and uniqueness, knowing your possibilities.
Feel my energy; it’s softer and at the same time, stronger,
shielding you from outer noise and chaos,
filling, feeling vibrating power.
This is not Sinai’s powerful Netzach whirling swirling,
nor the Red Sea’s pulling back into liberation’s expansiveness,
allowing Israelites to move through.
Feeling more like Rabbi Yeshua,
entombing,
quietly descending-ascending,
on Easter morning,
Mary Magdala awaiting rising,
—an everlasting eternity moment—
waiting, Beloved, for interspiritual redemption time.Feeling more like kol dmama dakah that still small voice
(Kings I:19)
But God was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake;
but God was not in the earthquake.
And after the earthquake a fire; but God was not in the fire; and after the fire,
a still, small voice,
V’achar ha-esh, kol demamah dakah
always enduring,
waiting out the thunder and lightning –
a quiet still power,
but powerful nonetheless.
Final Encounter: Blessing
by The Holy Baal Shem Tov
offering a touch of Netzach
You have been formed in the image of the Holy One who generates worlds. Therefore, everything you do should be done with energy and dedication, because in every act you are able to serve God. -Spiritual Will of the Ba’al Shem Tov #20
